Brickwork
Load-bearing walls, boundary walls and infill panels laid in face brick or cement block. This is the trade the company started on and the one most of the gallery is made of — straight courses, consistent joints, and a wall that is plumb before anything gets plastered over it.

Plastering & Painting
Plastering, skimming and painting taken as one job, because they are one job — a paint finish is only ever as good as the wall underneath it. Surfaces are prepared, plastered and skimmed flat before a brush touches them.

Reinforced Concrete Slabs
Suspended slabs, ground slabs and foundation slabs — set out, shuttered, reinforced and poured to the engineer's detail. The reinforcement schedule is followed as drawn rather than as convenient, which is the whole difference between a slab that lasts and one that cracks.

Beams & Columns
The frame the rest of the building hangs off. Columns, ring beams and lintels cast in place to the structural drawings, with the steel checked before the concrete goes in — because that is the last moment anyone can check it.

Ceiling & Tiling
Ceilings hung level and tiling set out from the centre so the cuts land where nobody looks. These are the finishes a house gets judged on, and they are where a rushed contractor shows first.

Roofing
From the truss up. Timber or steel roof structures erected and braced, then covered in sheeting or tiles and sealed. Also taken on as a repair job on an existing roof, which in this climate usually means finding where the water is actually getting in rather than where it is coming out.

Plumbing
First fix, second fix and repairs — water reticulation, drainage and sanitaryware for houses and commercial buildings. Pairs with the borehole work: most of it ends up connecting a tank to a house.

Borehole Drilling & Installation
A borehole is the difference between a stand that works and one that does not. Drilled, cased and then actually equipped — pump, tank and the plumbing back to the house — so what you are left with is water, not a hole.

Swimming Pools
Built from excavation to first fill, or brought back from a pool that has stopped holding water. Resurfacing is the larger part of this work — a marbelite or fibreglass finish over a shell that is otherwise sound is a fraction of the cost of starting again.

Aluminium Windows
Made to the opening rather than the opening made to the frame. Aluminium is what most new work in Zimbabwe specifies now — it does not rot, it does not need repainting, and it takes double glazing if you want it.

Supplied by the load with delivery, whether or not we are doing the building. Prices move too fast to publish and keep honest, so message us for today's figure.
Red Common Bricks
Common bricks for residential, commercial and industrial work — fired for strength and consistent enough in size that a bricklayer is not fighting the coursing all day. Supplied loose or by the load, with delivery.

River Sand
